A rare dining table by Oliver Morel, Cotswold School.
Brown oak.
The rectangular top with a carved chevron design on both edges.
On a solid oak base with a curved stretcher.
Inset plaque Oliver Morel 1981.
Measures: 198 cm wide x 77 cm deep x 72 cm high.
Oliver Morel was born in 1919 in Crouch End.
He became a pupil of Edward Barnsley in 1934 at his workshop in Froxfield in Hampshire.
He was very bound in the Arts and Crafts tradition and fascinated with the beauty of wood.
He died in 2003.
